Dear All

As per the updates from the Malaysian Government today (4 May 2021), please be informed that 6 districts in Selangor, namely Gombak, Hulu Langat, Klang, Kuala Langat, Petaling and Sepang will be placed under the Movement Control Oder (MCO) from 6 - 17 May 2021.

IMPORTANT

Interstate and inter-district travels are not permitted for states / districts under MCO except for emergencies, work, or as outlined in the SOPs.

As such, for students and staff travelling from the above mentioned districts/state or MCO areas to the IMC or hostel for your scheduled Teaching and Learning activities or work, please ensure you have your:

  1. updated IMC Authorised Letter (with the mentioned date of movement control order)
  2. student / staff ID tag 
  3. updated timetable for students

As a reminder, the Malaysian Government will impose a fine of UP TO RM5,000 for individuals and UP TO RM10,000 for institutions if caught not observing the SOPs.

 For your kind reference, below is the updated table on the various Movement Control Order status effective 28 April – 17 May 2021 as per table below. However, status for areas with high Covid-19 cases reported may change accordingly. Please refer to the National Security Council / Majlis Keselamatan Negara (MKN) website or telegram for the latest updates.
